Rachel + Will | A Beautiful Summer Wedding at Burdoc Farms in Crofton, KY

Rachel wanted sunset photos up at the tobacco barn. And oh my!!! We had the most spectacular sunset ever. It wrapped golden light around the Davenports which created some of the dreamiest light you could imagine. In addition, the view from the top of the hill at Burdoc Farms was simply breath taking, and I couldn’t get enough of it. It was a gorgeous ending to a perfect wedding day. I could not have custom ordered a more perfect wedding to transition from spring into the summer wedding season.

These two have the sweetest story. You’ll have to check it out in their engagement blog. It’s linked at the end. June 23rd was the next chapter in the Davenport story. When I think about how our lives unfold, it’s the most amazing thing to see how events come about that we can’t possibly foresee. A couple of years ago, Rachel and Will weren’t connected at all. And today, they are a couple of weeks into marriage. I hear couples talk all the time about waiting until it’s right, until you’ve found the person who truly completes you.

When I remember this wedding, I’ll always think of that stunning sunset for sure, but also the toasts which were filled with heartfelt thanks and love for Rachel and Will. Elizabeth began them with fun memories and such joy for her little sister. Then Will’s dad spoke about how proud he is of his son and what a blessing to know that he has found his soulmate. Then Rachel’s dad rounded out the toasts with another fun memory of Rachel as a little baller who cheered for both basketball teams, even when the opposing team scored points. That truly epitomizes that spirit of both Rachel and Will. They are for each other – always. I have no doubt that throughout the years to come, they will celebrate each other’s success, and I also know they will be playing on the same team.

Rachel and Will, you two are the definition of love and kindness. Capturing your special day at Burdoc Farms was an absolute dream. Your joy made it a day to remember, and I certainly always will.
