Joni and Jarrett married in the middle of a beautiful, lush valley right here in Southern Kentucky. I honestly have not seen a more beautiful place. The fields were ready to cut for hay and trees framed the area perfectly. Butterflies hurried around, and even an occasional bee flew through the grass. Even the weather cooperated and sent a soft wind and cooler than normal temperatures for this time of year. It was the perfect setting for any little girl’s wedding dreams. And Joni lived it in real life on the afternoon that she married Jarrett Pitcock.
A wedding lasts a day. But the dreams and dedication to making it come to life take much, much longer. As I walked through the newly constructed barn and admired the vision and handiwork that it took to get to this wedding day, I was literally in awe. Every table was slightly different with common elements, and all were simply stunning. The ceremony itself took place in the middle of Joni’s dad’s hayfield, and it was mowed especially for this day. In every corner, there was someone working behind the scenes to keep things moving, and it worked perfectly.
Joni and Jarrett, your wedding was dreamy from beginning to end. But honestly, the way you two look at each other outshines it all. Joni, I won’t ever forget when a few tears sneaked out of your eyes before the wedding, and Jarrett was to you in a flash. And when he realized they were happy and “best day of my life tears,” his smile almost moved me to tears. Your wedding was one I won’t ever forget, because your love for each other is the sweetest.
