I can’t begin to find the words to describe the perfect beauty of Kayla and Logan’s wedding at Country Ridge Venue!!
The Franklin-Stewart wedding was a labor of love and lots of planning. Kayla’s mom did her flowers, her food, and so many other things behind the scenes. But, as with all weddings, not quite everything fell according to plan – specifically the storm that rolled through the country side about three hours before vows. That uninvited storm was so powerful that it blew down the beautiful white doors that the wedding party planned to enter through. No worries. When the winds and rain finished their onslaught, Logan and his groomsmen righted the door and reattached it. They laughed and joked around; you’d have thought the whole episode was planned. It CERTAINLY wasn’t, but that ‘s the power of our mindset. We can fall apart when the storms of life knock us down, or we can choose to pick the door back up and reattach it. By 6:30 pm, the skies were gorgeous, and Kayla married her love as if the storm never came.
Have you ever seen a bride who is already beautiful in every day life, but when she is “the bride,” she absolutely takes your breath. That was Kayla and more. We all just stopped and stared. She was stunning, glowing, and her happiness was contagious. It was her day, and even though she had to make some last minute changes, she handled them with grace and love. She loves her family and I wiped a tear or two when she twirled around during her first look with her dad. And then I laughed and clapped with everyone later at the reception when they changed from their sweet father/daughter dance into a fun line dance.
It seems like just yesterday that Kayla and Logan were running around the middle school. Now they have both graduated from college and promised forever. It’s such a sweet moment when you see a couple who is absolutely in love and you know their families are excited and happy for them too. I’ll always remember a conversation I had with Logan’s mom a week before the wedding. I ran into her in town and she mentioned the wedding. “You know they’ve been together eight years,” she said. And she went on to say how much she loves Kayla, and that they are such a great couple. What a blessing!! Isn’t that what any parent would wish for their child?? ….that they would find the person who truly completes them.
Hey there Mr. and Mrs. Stewart, I was beyond blessed to photograph your wedding. I’m still obsessing over how BEAUTIFUL everything was, and even more – how obviously perfect you two are for each other. My prayer is that you always look at each other like you did on August 14th, 2021; that you find a way through every valley and celebrate every mountain together. I’ll always be over here cheering you on!! Love and blessings, Pat
