Have you noticed that we are headed straight into the infamous hot and humid Kentucky summer weather? However, we had perfect temps, low humidity and a light wind when Katie and Tyler met me at Barren River State Park right at golden hour to do their engagement session.
They are getting married next year, and I’m so excited for the future Mr. and Mrs. Petty!! I’ve known them both since they were students at JEBMS. Tyler was always so kind and easy going, and Katie was the image of fun energy. Her infectious smile is one of my favorite things about her. AND like so many couples I photograph, their love came as the sweetest surprise to me. But it doesn’t take two minutes to see how much these two adore each other. Whether Katie is hopping on the back of Tyler’s bike or they are holding hands looking out at the sunset, there is a feeling of home with them. Finding that special person to spend forever with is the best feeling ever, and you can see that these two are definitely there. How lucky am I to get to photograph such an amazing time in so many couples’ lives??!!
Katie and Tyler, not only am I honored that you asked me to be a part of your wedding, but I am also THRILLED for you both. I’ve watched you grow up, and now I get to watch you promise forever in just a short while. You are both simply beautiful, amazing human beings. I love seeing how you adore and respect each other, and how close you are with each other’s family. It’s such a blessing and something that is special and always gives any marriage an extra sweet factor. I hope you love your engagement photos, and I can’t wait to photograph your wedding in 2024. Love and blessings, Pat
