Braylee | Two Years of Sweetness

Portrait Sessions

“Khank you,” she said a thousand times in between giggles and trying to run away. Braylee’s mom and dad were all smiles, but their eyes were constantly on their little girl. She is faster than lightening, and other than heights, fears nothing. More than once she was in my frame and I suddenly heard more than one set of footsteps – hers and who ever was chasing her. She doesn’t get far, but her parents get a workout for sure. And I snapped waaayy too many pictures and loved every minute of it.

Braylee has three thousand expressions, and about that many words. Beth Ann told me first thing that she has also developed a strong opinion about everything, especially which clothes she wants to wear and what goes together.  Lucky for us, she was entertained by checking out our little town and wasn’t paying too much attention to what she had on. And she was stinking cute in every outfit, so hopefully when she really sees these in a few years, she will still approve. I really don’t think it matters what she wears, because those big blue eyes and sweet giggle would make any outfit just perfect.

And this little doll LOVES snow cones.  So much so that she had a snow cone party for her birthday.  And it just so happened that Tropical Treats was set up in town on Saturday.  Braylee’s little eyes lit up when her mama asked her if she wanted a snow cone today too.  And of course she wanted a “puppple” one.  It was cloudy and even a bit cool, but she dug right into her little cup of heaven.  AND DIDN’T MOVE a muscle for at least ten minutes, except to navigate through whether it was better to use her little fingers or the spoon.  I had to cull and cull pictures to get them down to a reasonable amount, because every little move she made was adorable.

It’s no secret that I love kiddos, and Braylee just melts my heart. She’s so spunky and full of life. It’s such a blessing to see the world through the eyes of a child. That gives us hope for the future, and a huge reason to keep our prayers going up. Braylee, I hope your year two is filled with wonder and lots more snow cones. “Two thumbs up.” You did a great job.
Love and blessings, Pat
