Ariel dreamed of a Christmas wedding when she was a little girl, and on December 14, that dream became a reality in the most beautiful way. Christmas touches were everywhere, and so was the sweetest feeling every time the next Christmas song played. Ariel walked down the aisle to meet her groom to Ingrid Michaelson’s All I Want for Christmas is You. Clayton promised to love her forever, and she put a ring on his finger. After a kiss, they walked back out to Mariah Carey’s version. And when I photographed each couple as they came down the aisle, it was the sweetest feeling ever. I love the Christmas atmosphere, and I can’t think of a more appropriate theme for a December wedding.
I’ve always heard it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day, and this sweet couple had just enough to sprinkle some luck around. Then the clouds lifted and we had decent weather to capture some outside shots. We even grabbed some after the snow send off. And speaking of snow, I loved the beautiful snow flying on Ariel and Clayton to send them on their way. Ariel was such a great sport when we realized that the snow was NOT coming out of her hair and eye lashes. We rolled with it, and the results are some of my favorite pics ever.
Ariel and Clayton it was my absolute pleasure to capture your Christmas “I dos”. Your wedding is my last this year, and I can’t think of a better way to end 2019. My wish for you is that you never lose the sweet joy of Christmas that was present all day long at your wedding. You are a beautiful couple and I hope this day was all you dreamed, and that your marriage will be too. Love and blessings, Pat
And first, Ariel shared a first look with Clayton. It was just a few minutes of time away from the hustle and bustle of the wedding day.
