Their joy is the sweetest! She is his sunshine, and he makes her smile – even more than she already did.
Whitney and Austin are both former students and I couldn’t be happier for them. They are both now teachers as well. Austin teaches 7th grade science, and Whitney teaches 5th grade math. Teaching is not for everyone, but the good ones do far more for their students than teach science and math. It makes me so happy to see these two together, excited for their future, and working hard to make it happen.
October 2 was an “iffy” day. Not for the beauty of this wedding, but for the weather. Dugas Park has plenty of spots for photos if the rain falls, but no one wants that on your wedding day – even if it brings good luck… We flew through some of the pictures because sprinkles kept splashing our faces and I have to say that the Byrns were the best sports. After the wedding, it looked like it was about to shower us with much more than sprinkles – so we grabbed some safe shots just in case. Then it kept holding off a little more, and we just kept doing more and more shots until we had a really good gallery – and none of them under a pavillion. I love sunshine, but the moodiness of clouds is just gorgeous as well.
Whitney and Austin, I was thrilled that it worked out for me to photograph your wedding. You are both beautiful and amazing and I wish you years and years of joy, and I pray that you never stop being each other’s sunshine. You are both definitely sunshine to those who know and love you!!! Love and blessings, Pat
Whitney’s mom said it had been quite a while since she put her shoes on for her. Isn’t that what a mom does?? They are there rain or shine from when you need them to live all the way to when you need them for advice.
Some folks might not agree, but living in an area where there is seasons is just the best. Fall flowers give the sweetest vibe.
Wind came through just at the perfect time to blow Whitney’s hair perfectly for bridal photos.
Whitney’s ladies were just the best. They were up for anything and celebrated her marriage just as much as she did.
It’s only fake laughter for one second. Then it quickly becomes real.
I love the idea of planting a tree when you tie the knot. Time flies by and it will grow quickly. And those white mums…..
It doesn’t matter if they make it down the aisle. Littles are precious and they make our lives rich with just being here.
What a gorgeous view.
It was about to pour. Then it sprinkled, but never poured. We had plans to move farther down, but when you have beautiful, dressed up people, you can’t go far from the shelter when the weather threatens. I loved how these turned out.
Family is the backbone of who we are, and these two are blessed.
Such fun!! Everyone was a great sport too!!
Ring the bells!! It’s a celebration of Whitney and Austin!!
That deep autumn glow…..
Stole this idea from Jeremy, and loved it.
We grabbed some more shots when the skies lightened up a bit.
And my favorite of the day….
Fall is for smores…..
And when the night wears on, the true colors and fun begins.
Absolutely loved working with these vendors:
