It was mid September, but it was scorching in Scottsville. And although we all were about to melt down in a big way, Whitley, Jarred, and Oakley kept smiling and were open to anything I suggested. So much of the time, awesome poses feel weird and crazy, especially when you are first starting a session, but they jumped right into everything with a laugh and we all had a great time. I appreciated Whitley and Jarred trusting me even when we were right in the middle of downtown with folks all around.
I’ve known Jarred for years, from back when he was a smiling kiddo walking around JEBMS. He was a great kid and student then, and now I’m so impressed with the young man he’s become. And oh my, is he smitten over this beautiful young lady, and I can tell the feeling is mutual. Why else would either put themselves through an open air bath of humidity, unless it was to capture such an important and precious moment in your life. It was such a blessing for me to see how easy and comfortable the feeling was between Jarred and Oakley. It is always a gift when everyone involved is happy about a new relationship. Those of us who enjoy that gift sometimes take it for granted, but it truly is a blessing.
Whitley, your happiness is radiant and I already feel as if I’ve known you forever. I know that you are the perfect soulmate for Jarred and I can’t wait to capture the joy of your upcoming wedding. I know it’s hard to do because the planning can feel overwhelming, but stop and enjoy every single moment of this beautiful journey because it is one of the most important and fun times of your life. Don’t worry if every single detail isn’t perfect, because your love and happiness is already perfect. I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I enjoyed hanging out with you all. Love and blessings, -Pat
