A few years ago, Savannah wanted just a casual date for her prom. A friend suggested to Xavier that he should ask her. And both of them ended up with so much more than just a prom date.
Each couple’s “how we became us” story is unique, and I never tire of hearing them. What I noticed so quickly about Savannah and Xavier is how much they laugh together. It was such fun to capture several moments of unscripted laughter. Those are the BEST. We never get enough laughter, and it’s always special when the joy comes right into the camera lens.
I met Savannah at her friend Hanna’s wedding last summer, and I was honored that she messaged me to photograph hers. We walked around Port Oliver on Monday in some of the prettiest weather we’ve had yet this season. (As I type this I’m still shivering from the CRAZY change we’ve had back to winter today.) Photographing weddings is such a blessing to me; I love every second of it. But engagement sessions fire me up, because we have the joy of celebrating love without the added busyness of a wedding day. These sessions are so important in the wedding collection because they allow the bride and groom to get comfortable with me and my camera. And I left this session feeling like I’ve known these two forever.
Savannah and Xavier, thank you so much for asking me to be a part of this very important time in your life. I can’t wait to photograph your wedding later this year!!
Love and blessings!!! Pat
