Have you ever met someone and wondered how you somehow didn’t already know them? And that you’ve missed out…. That’s how I feel about this beautiful couple who smiled at me all over River Bend Blooms last week.
Paige and Kayvan live right here in Scottsville, and they are beautiful inside and out. I wish I could capture their fantastic attitude and spread it all around the world. I adore couples who love and respect each other and also appreciate beauty and nature as I do, and boy do they fit the bill! Their joy at just being there made this session one of my favorites ever.
We had the absolute best time traipsing all over the place and Michelle at River Bend Blooms chauffeured us all over her beautiful river bottom farm to get the best shots. It reminds us that you don’t have to travel hundreds of miles to find peace and solace. It exists all over the place in the beautiful county right here in Kentucky. The rolling hills beg us to come and see what’s over the other side, and the flat bottoms draw in wildlife that thrills us all. Not to mention the gorgeous rock cliffs and lapping water that remind me of calmer, quieter freedoms that exist only in the countryside. Paige and Kayvan drew in deep breaths and let their eyes take in the wonder just as much as I did. And what’s amazing is that it’s the beauty of nature, given to us to enjoy and protect, and yet it’s not ours either. We are stewards for just a bit, and then time moves on.
Paige and Kayvan, I can’t wait to photograph your wedding this fall, and I know it will be filled with the beauty of nature and the easy laughter of friends and family. I’m a pretty quick study of folks, and I already know that your joy of every moment in life draws people into your circle. I hope that you take a few moments to breathe in the beauty of this time in your life, because just like those seasons we love so much, time will move on again. I was blessed to meet you, and I can’t wait to have you in front of my camera again. Blessings, Pat
