She called me in January to check on my wedding availability in 2020 for her friend. However, her inquiry quickly changed to her own wedding! Micaela had no idea that Tyler had something in his pocket a few days later when they took a little drive back to Cumberland Falls. You see that had been the location of their first real date – and no wonder he wanted to go back to such a breath taking spot to ask the love of his life to stay in his life – forever. Tyler is a country boy to the core, but I believe there is more than one sentimental bone in his body, and when he looks at Micaela, there’s no doubt how he feels.
He’s knows she’s the right one. When I asked what made him know, he said, “Well you know, I prayed about it.” I was hooked from that moment on. What a joy for me to get to witness another of life’s miracles. So they told me their story. Micaela’s aunt introduced them, and Micaela reminded me how quiet she can be when she first meets someone. Apparently she didn’t say a word to him the night she met him. “I was really nervous, and couldn’t think of anything to say,” she told me. But Tyler came back anyway, and it’s a good thing, because they are absolutely perfect together. And while I’m giving my two thumbs up on this sweet couple, I have to also add that I dragged him to several (although pretty close together) locations, and when I mentioned finishing up at the Turner Building (after I’d already said we’d “finish up” at the Train Depot), he said, “Sure why not?” So that’s it. She’s got a keeper. And I can’t wait for what I’ll be able to capture on their wedding day.
I met Micaela again as an adult when she came back to our school a couple of years ago to do her student teaching, and I was impressed with how she handled students. I have always admired the way she just quietly goes about doing what needs to be done. She sees right into the heart of kids, and her sweet nature immediately makes them trust her and feel comfortable with her. That’s just who she is. She’s always been such a pretty girl, but I could not get over how beautiful she is with Tyler. I think it’s amazing how being in love and finding the right one just brings out the glow that is unmistakable and only from pure happiness. Micaela definitely has an extra bit of shine and sparkle these days.
Tyler and Micaela, you are already such a blessing to me. I loved being around you, and I feel like I’ve known you both for years. Couples like you reaffirm why I love what I do. I appreciate your trust in me not only in the locations for your engagement pictures, but also in capturing one of the most important moments of your life.
