It’s fall in Kentucky, and that beauty is outshined only by Megan and Dalton’s happiness.
Reds, orange, yellow and the prettiest melons take our breath, but last Thursday was cool and rainy. In fact, we waited until 1:30 to make a final decision about doing their engagement session. It’s frustrating when you have to reschedule a session in the fall, because there’s a huge chance the leaves will be gone when you get a second chance. But luck was on our side, and I couldn’t believe how perfectly it all worked out. The clouds even rolled back long enough to give us a few peeks of sunshine. It made for a stunning show of color and all the fall feels. There’s just something about trees showing off their glorious leaves, a tiny bit of nip in the air, and a couple telling their story….. We forget all about the rest of the world and just have a great time. It’s refreshing and such a special time.
Speaking of their story, Dalton and Megan began their relationship through Facebook. They both commented and agreed on a post, and before you know it, they found that they agreed on lots of things. And now they are agreeing to love each other forever. They have big plans, are buying their first home, and can’t wait to begin their life together. It’s such a blessing to see couples who have their whole life ahead of them, are deeply in love, and have a grounding that I wish I had at their age.
Megan and Dalton, I hope you enjoy your engagement pictures, and that you always remember the joy and love you feel right now. I pray that your future is full of happiness and that you always pull on the same team with the same goals in mind. You are truly an amazing couple and I am blessed to get to know you. Before you turn around twice, it will be spring and we will be doing some of these same poses with a couple of extra rings and a bouquet. I can’t wait!!! (It was also cool to find out that your mom is the “Cole” that our Levi loves so much.) Love and blessings, Pat
