Caroline + Kyle | A Sweet Fall Engagement Session in Scottsville

Weddings Engagements

I can’t even explain how happy it makes me to see this beautiful couple’s joy!

I’ve known them both since middle school. Caroline reminded me that I left her class mid year to go to the school counselor position. That seems another lifetime ago, and now both she and Kyle are making their way in this big old world – and they’ve found each other. What a blessing it is to find the one whom your soul loves!! I think there are signs all over the place that say those words…    Truly, Kyle and Caroline’s happiness and excited plans bring the an extra spark to everyone around them. It’s just amazing to see the transformation in already amazing individuals when it happens.  Kyle grew up down the road from us, and I can say with certainty that Caroline brings the biggest smile to his face. He’s always been kind, a hard worker, and a gentleman, but these days – his step has even more pep and purpose. Anyone close by when they are together quickly realizes the reason for that pep – none other than Caroline Witschey – who I worked hard to learn the spelling of her last name the first day of her 7th grade year – LOL.

I had such fun catching up with both of them, and nearly caused us all to have a heart attack in the process. If you’ve had a photo session with me, you know that I get completely wrapped up in what we are doing. I’m constantly losing my camera if I’m working with a set of props, and typically I lose track of time too. But last Wednesday was definitely a first. I decided that I needed to back up to frame their photo differently, and literally missed a motorcycle by mere inches.  I jerked back, but I saw the shock on his face, and I’m pretty sure he did mine too. When I turned around to Caroline and Kyle, the look on their faces would have covered the tab for their entire wedding next year. After I picked my heart up and settled down, I remembered hearing the rumble coming down the street – but it didn’t register. All I can say is that the Man Above was watching over us both. It would have totally been my fault, and I’m so thankful that a nervous laugh and a near heart attack is all that actually happened. I will do better in the future – I hope…..

Caroline and Kyle, I’m so glad that you two found each other!!! Your joy and love is there for anyone to see, and I pray that you just continue to grow and deepen your relationship. Not every day is roses; we all know their thorns aren’t fun. Here’s hoping that you are able to see those roses and overcome all the thorns around them.  You are both amazing and I can’t wait to photograph your wedding next fall. Enjoy every second between now and then, and I’ll see you soon!!!       Love and blessings, Pat
