Oh friends, you are in for a treat. The stars, sun, and some perfectly placed clouds lined up on September 4th for this stunning wedding at Barren Breeze in Lucas, Ky.
Jordan and Grant married at 4pm with a cheering crowd in tow. Their friends and family were just as excited as the bride and groom. Along with their guests, I laughed and also wiped a few tears at their vows and the telling of how they met and fell in love. It was the sweetest story. These two met in 7th grade when they had to sit next to each other in Algebra class. Grant told about how long it took to get Jordan to talk to him and that he had the biggest crush on her then. When Jordan began her vows we found out that she secretly had a crush on Grant back in 7th grade too. They started dating in high school and made it through the thick and thin of college life at Western. Grant is an electrical engineer and Jordan is finishing her accounting degree as well. I haven’t seen a couple more smitten with each other. When they talked about sitting on benches in the freezing cold just so they could talk, it made me think about all the sweet memories they will have in the years to come. Every love story is special, but hearing theirs at their wedding was one of the sweetest things I’ve seen.
Everything about the Cummings-Turner wedding went smoothly. Oh there were a few hurrying moments, a few decisions and choices that had to be made at the last moment – but that’s a normal part of a wedding. The kind and fun personality of the bride and groom made the day even more joyous. Even though it was their special day, they were both concerned about making sure others were celebrated and loved. And their wedding party was just amazing. They celebrated with enthusiasm and joy. Jordan and Grant also had family and friends who were happy to help them keep everything running smoothly and the result was such a lovely ceremony and reception. And of course, the stars and sun lining up to give us a beautiful day helped as well.
Mr. & Mrs. Turner, I was incredibly blessed to photograph your wedding, and I can’t wait to see what your future holds. You truly are an amazing couple and I wish you years of happiness. I hope you always keep your sweet, sweet love story close at heart and tell it often. Love and blessings, Pat
Jordan made her own bouquets. Simply gorgeous!!
Both Jordan and Grant’s parents were amazing and worked hard to make sure their day was perfect.
Jordan’s veil was PERFECT for gorgeous pics. And the wind was happy to help out.
I mentioned to Grant that I loved his socks. He said, “if you knew my dad, you’d understand these socks.” They are cool socks.
This really doesn’t need a caption, because it speaks volumes to the character of this family.
Grant tried to fight it back, just like falling in love with her. But he couldn’t do either one.
