At this point, we’ve photographed over a thousand weddings through the last 27+ years. And no two have ever been the same. That’s one of the most beautiful aspects of weddings.
Almost every little girl dreams of her wedding day. She plans and changes her ideas through the years, and virtually every time, it happens a bit differently than those dreams and plans. That’s because we can not possibly know all the years and events in our lives. Thank goodness, right? But when a wedding culminates the joy and knowledge of the twists and turns of life, it’s even more special. Your wedding should not be like anyone else’s. Because YOU are not like anyone else. Your wedding should be a reflection of who you are and who you love. It should be as simple or as complex as you want. There’s no right or wrong way for your reception to flow, no set number of attendants, or of you have any at all. What’s important is that you are marrying the person you love, and your family and friends are there to celebrate, to cheer you on.
DeLinda and JB did just that on July 25, in a beautiful whimsical, boho inspired ceremony at Dugas Park. DeLinda wanted it kept simple, short, and sweet. It was all those. From the “flower guy” who gave new meaning to tossing the rose petals, to the father/daughter dances and the beautiful personal vows followed by the sweetest poem from JB, –this wedding was perfect. It was easy to see the joy and grateful hearts of those who have loved these two through the good and bad to see the redemption and new life they have now. It gives hope to us all and the knowledge that we can all grow stronger and better. Where are folks there who will help us along the way, and those same folks will celebrate our success and joy.
Hey you two lovebirds, I’m so grateful to have you as new friends. You are an inspiration to so many, and I was blessed to photograph your wedding. I wish you a lifetime of happiness. You deserve it. Your joy is our joy, and we are all so excited to see what your future brings.
Love and blessings, Pat
