Engagements are one of my favorite sessions, and this couple was such a treat. We walked six forevers all over downtown Glasgow, and neither Matthew nor Danielle complained one bit. The wind insisted on traipsing along, but we made it happen anyway thanks to the golden sunlight that warmed our spirits. They are traveling to Scottsville to tie the knot, so it was only fitting that I travel to their hometown to photograph their engagement. What’s really cool is that I’ve never photographed an engagement session on the Glasgow Square, and now in the span of a month – I’ve done three. I have one more to share after this one.
Danielle called me a couple of months ago to book a May 29th wedding to the love of her life. And I was thrilled to write their names down. I include an engagement session with nearly all wedding collections, and this couple is the perfect example of why it’s so important to do an engagement session. In addition to having photos for such an important time in your life, it also allows me to share poses and learn all about my couples. I really enjoyed getting to know these two. They both have the sweetest nature and I feel like I’ve known them for ages. That’s one of the blessings of what I do – finding lots of new friends every year. And what I found so neat about Danielle and Matthew is that Matthew popped the question after eleven years together. They are ready for that next step, and I’m excited to photograph their big day.
Danielle and Matthew, you are a beautiful and amazing couple. The love you have for each other was so evident to me. I watched how you smile at each other, and how you look out for what each other wants. That is one of the most beautiful showings of a true relationship; each person puts the other first. I loved every second of our time together, and I can’t wait to photograph your special day next May. I hope that you guys enjoy every second of this sweet, sweet time in your life. And before you know it, I’ll be photographing your rings and florals while Danielle sits in a room close by getting hair and makeup done. I wish you tons of joy and I’ll see you soon. Love and blessings, Pat
