It’s a thing, and I’m not mad.  Not mad at all……

Cathy posted on her FB page last Saturday, “So we did a thing…” Private weddings and elopements are catching on and it’s the coolest “thing!” If you don’t want all the fuss and fanfare of a traditional wedding (I love those too!!), but you want photos, it can happen. I did Cathy and David’s wedding session before I left town last Saturday to photograph a traditional wedding, and it worked out perfectly. We found time for photos at the new and old courthouse, and then at Dugas Park. I love the results.

I’ve done photos for Cathy for years and years, but I just met David last fall. I have to say that I’m quite impressed. He’s jumped right into Cathy’s life and quickly become one of the most important parts of her world. Finding happiness is one part of life that we don’t realize the significance of until it falls right into our lap. There’s always work involved, and every day isn’t blissful, but finding the one who completes you is such a blessing.  I’m thankful that Cathy and David are now a team.

Mr. & Mrs. Ehrhardt, I was thrilled to do your wedding session, and I’ll always be cheering for you!!. I wish you amazing happiness and success as you navigate through life together. When you equally share your joys and sorrows, the joy is sweeter and the burden lighter. Thank you for allowing me to have a small part in one of the most important days of your life.
