I remember the first time I saw C.J. She was a stinking cute little girl with curly black hair at the Rec. Center. I don’t remember which basketball team she was on, but she caught my eye because she was such a doll. Then suddenly she was in my classroom in 7th grade, next her Senior pics, and now a day later, she’s about to be a bride to one lucky guy. I have loved every instance of being around her, and just like that, she’s all grown up. I can’t believe she’s about to be a teacher and a wife. I’m sure that neither of these lovebirds would have imagined this day way back when they were little and played soccer together at the Core.
And Kyle, well, he’s obviously smitten with this curly headed doll with the kindest heart. I could tell by the way he looked at her, how he did everything he could to make this session special for her, and how he kept smiling even when I dragged them all over the place because I kept thinking of new ideas. He didn’t even pull back when I passed right by mowed grass and clean fence rows to put them right in the middle of what looked like a backwoods wilderness because this time of the year, the light is perfect there. I think it might have had something to do with that blue eyed girl at his side.
CJ and Kyle, you are such a perfect couple, and I was honored that you asked me to do your engagement session and wedding next year. I hope you stop to enjoy these next few months and the flurry of activity and bundles of nerves as you get closer to your big day. I’m so excited for you and the love that you have found and I wish you nothing but blessings. Love, Pat
