When your wedding plans go awry due to Covid-19 – you make it work anyway.
Andrea and Dylan had to plan and replan multiple times due to social distancing and unforseen restrictions on gatherings, but that didn’t stop the love and beauty of their wedding. Spring was coming alive, blooms filling the air, and their joy was infectious – no pun intended. It was a sweet reminder that love endures and life keeps moving – even when “normal” is nowhere to be found.
And I loved being there to capture the moments that changed four lives forever. Two little boys became brothers, and their mom and dad pledged to love them both forever. They laughed and played, and had no clue of how fortunate they were. Every child needs and deserves a loving family, and while they both were already deeply loved, having a mom and dad together in a home just makes life more perfect.
I’ve always loved doing elopements, and this was pretty close. It was all the beauty without the stress of making sure everything was on time, and I truly think there might have been a bit more laughter and just pure fun. There is always a silver lining in every cloud. And I’m sure that Andrea and Dylan will love telling this part of their story as the years go on. Their marriage will be just as sweet and just
as real as it would have been prior to the world changing before our eyes.
Dylan and Andrea – Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your wedding day. You are a beautiful couple and I can’t wait to see how your lives unfold together as husband and wife. I can tell how very much you love each other, and my prayer is that through all the trials of life, you never forget how you felt this day.
Love and blessings, Pat
