Have you ever met someone and you can’t imagine that you’ve lived your whole life without knowing them? That’s how I instantly was with both Gen and James.  They are simply an amazing couple and we had the best time, despite a brisk wind right off the North Pole itself.

It’s pretty cool how the twists and turns of our life, some of which are quite painful, can lead us to happiness and joy when we least expect it.  When Gen and James told me their story, I could not help but be even more convinced that through trials and hard times, joy comes in the morning.  One thing I know for sure, James loves Gen.  He’s not exactly crazy about getting pictures made, but he didn’t complain one bit.  One moment of seeing how he looks at her, and I’m pretty sure he’d do just about anything for her, including looking at a camera lens on one of the coolest days of the year.

Gen and James, thank you sooo much for allowing me to be a small part of your story.  I can’t think of a more appropriate couple to start off my 2020 engagement season!  Engagement sessions fire me up, but finding a connection with new friends is the best of all!!  You two are refreshing just to be around, and my prayer is that you will have years of joy and blessings; that your heart will overflow daily and that even through trying times you never forget how you felt and how you looked at each other on this cold day!   Love and blessings to you both!   Pat
