—-Last May, Ty planned their proposal down to a light X on the spot where he would stand to get the perfect photo. And Addie cried.  I’ve quickly learned that this is just how Ty is. He loves this beautiful, driven, and talented young lady and he put beautiful ring on her finger. It’s crazy that it’s almost been a year, and their wedding plans are quickly taking shape. It’s going to be a gorgeous celebration of both their past and their future as Mr. and Mrs.

And they were gorgeous yesterday too – but not because it was a warm, still day. It was so cold and windy that I dragged a jacket out of my vehicle that I haven’t worn since the crazy winds of DC. And still Addie was beyond beautiful, even though I’m sure she literally couldn’t feel her toes by the end of our session. These photos were as important to Addie as they were to me, and that’s ALWAYS a place I love to be, wind or not. In fact, I’m pretty sure most almost brides would have given up waaayyy before we finished. And Ty, as you might guess from what has already been said about him, he was all about whatever Addie wanted. This was for her and he was willing to do anything either of us came up with. I couldn’t help but laugh a little when they told me about how he used to get a bit of a spanking every Easter when he was little – because he hated pictures so much. I bet that little boy would have just wilted if he even dreamed that he would smile at a camera for way over an hour and not grumble one bit. I guess that’s the difference love and a beautiful  lady at your side makes.

Addie and Ty, I’m so happy for both of you and I hope these photos will always serve as a sweet reminder of how your love has grown into forever.  And I hope that you soak up every second of this beautiful and crazy season of your life.  It will pass in a whirl, and before you know it, October will be here.  I can’t wait to be a part of your wedding, and I wish you tons and tons of laughs and happy moments between now and then.         Love and blessings,    Pat
