Lucy c/o 2021 | A Summer Senior Session in Kentucky

Teens Seniors

I could not get over how photogenic Lucy is. She just knows how to turn her head just a bit more and all the other tiny tweaks to a pose that is a natural gift. Most of us don’t have it, and it doesn’t mean we can’t take amazing pictures. But when someone shows up who naturally has that gift, it’s just such fun for me. What’s pretty cool is that you never know who has it until they are in front of your camera. Lucy is absolutely beautiful, but she’s very low maintenance and super low key…. until she shows up in a red dress and boots and blew me out of the water!

I always say that I can’t believe teens that I’ve watched grow up are just that – grown up. And it’s true this time too. Lucy is now a stunning young lady with just a few months between her and taking on the world. And that world has kind of flipped around due to the current pandemic, but that doesn’t stop time. It doesn’t stop Lucy’s senior year from happening even if it might look a little different.  And I know I can speak for all of us in that we hope and pray things can chill out sooner rather than later.

We did part of Lucy’s session on her dad’s family farm and with a truck that she clearly loves. I am always up for doing a senior session at sentimental locations, because it has deep meaning that makes the photographs come to life. And I have to mention the old home that sits in the middle of the Britt farm- unassuming but watching everything around it like a loving grandparent. Lucy will always have photos of a place that is dear to her heart, and I loved being a part of that.

Lucy, you were AMAZING to photograph. Your beauty and talent came through 100%, and I was honored that you wanted me to capture such an important time in your life. I wish you nothing but blessings and success. Love, Pat
