Chelsea and Adam’s “I do” ceremony took place on the perfect, crisp October day. But those of us who are weather watchers were worried all week. The forecast was for rain and intensely dropping temperatures, the recipe for a super difficult wedding day – especially when you consider that it was all outdoors. As Saturday drew closer, the forecast started changing just a bit, and the timing fell perfectly. The drops started falling during the rehearsal, and then through Friday night – it RAINED – and the temperature DROPPED. Then Saturday dawned beautifully, and cool, but not freezing. That’s the beauty and danger of an outside wedding. You are at the mercy of Mother Nature, but when she cooperates – the backdrop is more beautiful than anything earthly hands can create.
Sometimes it’s just breathtaking. That moment when Chelsea started down the aisle on her dad’s arm…. That moment when we realized that Adam was fighting back tears. All of us caught our breath and felt so blessed to be exactly where we were last Saturday afternoon. And where we were was on Chelsea’s family farm, in the field they call The Flat. The Huber’s decided to do the first look so that after the wedding they could enjoy more time with their guests. And it was perfect. What’s amazing is that it didn’t change Adam’s expression one bit when he saw his beautiful bride coming down the aisle. I found myself with a lump in my throat too, and I know I was not alone.
Adam and Chelsea, you are a beautiful and amazing couple. I am impressed with your planning and your common sense approach to life. I have no doubt that your careers and your home will flourish through the years because you have the discipline and determination to do what it takes. I wish you much happiness and joy! Love and blessings, Pat
Chelsea carried her grandfather’s pocket watch and purple heart in her bouquet. It was perfect and her bouquet was absolutely beautiful!!

So often, the most amazing light is at the most difficult place to get to, but Chelsea didn’t pause even a second when I suggested doing these in the thicket right beside the flat. And Adam, he always enjoys getting to hug his girl – it doesn’t matter where. They were just awesome to photograph!!
Since they chose to experience a first look, we had plenty of time for so many pictures with just bride and groom, and also the wedding party. The wedding party was amazing to work with as well. They were up for anything and had a great time with our ideas
I included this photo because Chelsea’s brother prayed a simply beautiful prayer before they enjoyed the meal. And that young man you see on the left is 14 years old, and he owns his own DJ service. He did an amazing job too. Vendor information is located at the end of the blog.
AHHH – sunset pics. When it works out, it’s stunning. We had perfect timing for these.
