Alyson + Drew | A Beautiful Fall Wedding at The Barn at 3M Farms

Weddings Engagements

When I think of Alyson and Drew, I smile every single time.  They are the epitome of a fun,  joyous, and beautiful couple.  Alyson is vivacious – full of life, laughter, and finds the best in everyone.  Drew is a slight bit more calm – quite up to date on the latest cool looks – and adores his new wife and their family.  He has the best personality and is clearly appreciated by Alyson’s family.  During his toast, her dad spoke about when he realized the depth of Drew’s love for his daughter.  For any parent, there is no earthly price that can be put on knowing your child is loved.

I can not think about November 12, 2022 without pointing out that the weather was insane – I mean CRAZY.  It rained.  The temps dropped to freezing.  The wind whipped this way and that.  And yet…. it was still stunningly beautiful.  This couple is beautiful, and their wedding was simply beautiful. (Yes, I know that I repeated beautiful 3 times in one paragraph.  The old English teacher in me says to search for replacement words.  I can’t.  It was simply beautiful; there is no other word.)  Thank goodness for an inside venue though.  I can not overstate how much I enjoyed being a part of Mr. and Mrs. Meador’s day. And of course I have to mention that I was finally able to do my first wedding of the year with Seth Graves from Magnolia & Steel.  He’s amazingly talented with florals, and crazy organized.  If you are on the fence about hiring a coordinator, he’s worth every penny.

Miss Hallie nearly  stole the show. Her happy laughter, clapping hands, and twinkling eyes captured every heart that came within twenty feet. She had no idea what Saturday was all about.  Her goals were slightly different than everyone else’s.  She worked hard to touch her mama’s bouquet and get her hands on her dad’s boutonnière, laughed and clapped as she was pulled into the wedding in a decorated wagon by her uncle, and fought to stay awake while she danced with her mom and loving grandmother Anita.  But in the end, she couldn’t stay awake and was held by everyone from her great-grandma Meador to Sarah Beth’s boyfriend.   And she won’t remember any of it, but she was loved and celebrated as much as her mom and dad.

Alyson and Drew, I could go on and on about last weekend.  It was the perfect end to my wedding season and the perfect continuation of your story.  And just like life, you had to made adjustments, some difficult decisions – and it came out stunning!  You and your whole family are simply amazing!!  Love and blessings,  Pat
