I think he’s a keeper. A guy who’s crazy enough about his girl to drive from Memphis to Scottsville, then to Bowling Green and then finally come back to Scottsville for more pictures is a pretty cool guy. On the flip side, I’ve known Maddie since she was a sweet, kind, and already beautiful middle school student. Her personality has not changed one bit since then either, so I know why Austin is all smiles; he’s hit the jackpot too. When I first met him, I knew instantly that he was seriously smitten by our Scottsville beauty. How else would you explain the two years of a long distance relationship from Memphis, TN to Scottsville. Yet, we all know the miles really don’t matter when you are in love.
We started on the square in Bowling Green, and if you’ve never had pictures there, you are missing out. It’s a dream setting for more dressy attire and even the cars all over the place don’t pull your eyes away from the carefully planned landscape. And the College Street Pedestrian Bridge, it’s beyond perfect for couple or really any type of pictures. You have to ignore folks running, and an occasional horn honking, but since I’ve done so many here and there, I think it’s kind of cool. People passing by like to be a part of the process, and it’s fun. Then last, we came back to home to photograph sunset pics at the Train Depot. They were some of my favorites because by then Austin and Maddie were so comfortable, and that’s when the real smiles and laughter sneak out and right onto the canvas. I love it!! And I adored them!
They met when they were Juniors in high school, in the summer of 2015, at the Commonwealth Honors Academy at Murray State University, and the rest has been history. Sometimes it’s that way, and every love story is so different. Every time I ask how couples met, and there’s always a twist. They knew instantly and there was no denying fate, or they had known each other forever and suddenly one day things were different. Each love story is unique in some way. As I watched the smiles on their faces when Maddie and Austin told me their’s, it let me know this is truly a blessed and most special couple.
Austin and Maddie, I was honored to do your first official “couple” pictures and I hope you love them. You are a dream pair and I understand why the miles don’t matter. I wish you so much happiness and laughter as you each finish college and keep commuting as you can for some stolen time together. You are perfect in every way and I’m so glad I was able to spend a little time with you last week. Love and blessings, -Pat
