Camden Carver is a senior! And you’d never know how awesome that feels to him unless you ask and see the smile that breaks across his face. And this young man has dreams, all while he’s living up this last year at ACS. He’s worked hard on tennis this summer and he can spin a basketball like nobody’s business! I don’t have an athletic bone in my body, so watching all the skills that Camden and others have developed just amazes me. They make it look so easy, but I know it’s not.
We all know that talent is a gift. But it doesn’t matter how talented you are, your work ethic, your sheer will to get up when you just want to sleep, is what determines who takes their talent to the next level. Camden loves tennis. He’s great at it, and he works to keep getting even better. I know that same attitude carries over right into basketball as well.
When I asked Camden what he planned after high school, he surprised me. He wants to teach. Sometimes teacher’s kids don’t want to teach because it can be tough at times. But I guess it’s like other things that just kind of get in your blood, heart, and soul. And that’s how it is and should be. Camden, I know you will be an awesome teacher. Your hilarious personality, your drive to succeed, and your down to earth attitude will serve you and your future students well.
It’s your senior year Camden!! Keep chasing your dreams and goals, and keep living up this last year. It will be gone in a flash, and you’ll be headed on to the next phase of life. You have what it takes to do anything you want, and do it at 100% effort; you will be a great teacher. Love and blessings, Pat
