Don’t let the golden light that literally wraps around Zoe and JD fool you; Friday was COLD. It seems like every session I’ve had in 2020 has been super chilly. But let me tell you, this couple is AMAZING. They followed me all through Mennonite country to some beautiful locations and were still going strong when the sun set on us at the courthouse. And little Chigger HAS MY HEART! You’ll have to scroll to the bottom to see his sweet face.

Zoe and JD are tying the knot in May and their story is super sweet, and proof that love is all about timing.  These two were in high school together. However, THE moment didn’t happen then.  What I’m talking about is the RIGHT moment; the one that you have to be patient for, the one that changes your life. It’s the moment frozen in time when you suddenly SEE someone.  It might be someone you’ve known forever, or a perfect stranger.  Zoe and JD’s moment was later, even after Zoe changed high schools and both had graduated. There was a chance meeting when JD came with his brother to Zoe’s birthday party….. and nothing has been the same since.  They are now proud parents of three four legged children and are ready to promise forever.  It all goes back to the old saying that every love story is special.

 

I LOVED doing this beautiful couple’s engagement session!  There’s just something heartwarming and special about a couple in love and who has their whole future ahead of them.  Zoe and JD, thank you so much for trusting me to capture such an important time in your life.  I feel like I’ve known you forever, and I also wish you forever together – through all the ups and downs of life.  As your relationship continues to grow and change, I hope these pictures will always be a cherished part of your story.  Love and blessings,   Pat
