A wedding is a a big deal. Taylor and Wyatt’s wedding was beautiful and so sentimental. They are both amazing in their own right, but together, they are the perfect union. They have both grown up with so much love and it was sweet for me to see how their parents and entire families looked at them with so much pride in who they have become. They have both been blessed with parents who adore them and were very present in their lives growing up. And on this day, it was a very big deal that they both left their fathers and mothers and began the journey to make a new home together.

I always love to listen to the toast speeches and both Wade and Ashley told of child hood memories with Taylor and Wyatt. We heard sweet stories of Wyatt and Wade fighting over food, Taylor and Ashley riding the Barbie jeep like the princesses they were. All too quickly those sweet everyday happenings are just memories, and life moves on to write the next chapter of our life book. And what is certain to me and I’m sure every other person as well, was that this couple has had an adventurous and loving childhood. The pictures playing during the father-daughter and mother-son dances brought several misty eyes and laughter all at the same time. This warm beautiful July wedding was definitely a celebration of memories past, and joy and hope for future memories too.

Taylor and Wyatt, it was my honor to photograph your wedding. You are an amazing couple and when I think about how you look at each other, it always makes me smile. You’ve found what inspires poets, writers, and the hopes and dreams of us all. Your story is absolutely from Heaven, and your happiness is too. It won’t always be easy to blend two childhoods and two different sets of traditions to make your own. But because you adore and respect each other from that deepest well of love, you will choose to let the little things go, and find ways to merge your individual ideas to make new traditions that are yours together. Those who find ways to do this find themselves holding hands and rocking together on the front porch sixty years from now, and that is my utmost wish for you. Love and blessings, Pat
