Philippians 4:8 tells us to think on things that are good, honest and just, lovely. In my humble opinion, that verse epitomizes Savannah and Xavier’s love for each other.

And their day at Majestic Memories was just perfect.

It wasn’t perfect because it was not hot, nor because it didn’t come a bit of a rain 20 minutes before the outdoor ceremony was scheduled to start.  It was perfect because all those things were handled with grace.  We found shade where and when we could, and you should have seen all the guys with towels hurriedly wiping out the guest seats.   To be fair, they had wonderful help with friends and family making things happen behind the scenes, but a wedding is just a small snippet of life itself, full of wonderful – with some challenges to overcome.

I have never photographed a wedding for a difficult bride and groom.  And I’m thankful for that.  But when I think of what the opposite of what difficult would be – that is Savanah and Xavier.  Their joy and excitement to marry each other was an uplifting thing to witness.  I don’t think either of them could have been more thankful for each other and the folks around them.  Their humbleness and kind spirits are just a part of who they both are.

Savannah and Xavier, to say I was blessed to photograph your wedding is an understatement.  My time with you both will forever live in my mind and heart with a smile.  I know that like us all, you will face life’s inevitable pitfalls, but I also know that you will have each other’s backs.  My prayer is that you are always able navigate life with the same joy and grace that I’ve come to associate with who you are.  I will always be in your corner, cheering you on, and I know you have countless family and friends who will do the same.     Love and blessings,  Pat
