The Hidden Homestead in SmithsGrove, KY, was the perfect venue for Sara and Ian’s wedding. It was also a stunning fall day, and the seasonal temps just added to the happiness of the bride and groom. This couple is the sweetest!! Not only do they care so much about each other, they showed such kindness and consideration for their family and friends all day long. I just can’t say enough about what a joy this wedding was – from the moment I stepped out of my vehicle until I left that night.
In addition, The Hardcastle wedding showed off another amazing wedding party. They made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be, they loved and laughed, picked up whatever fell, and were willing to walk, talk, and laugh until I had what I needed. It was such a wonderful day. As my 2022 wedding season is slowly winding down, I can’t help but feel so blessed that I get to work with so many kind and truly fantastic folks with my weddings. And that certainly starts with the bride and groom. Their easy going, sweet spirits set the stage for everything that went so well all day. We planned, and those plans worked well.
There were so many sweet moments from when Ian saw his beautiful bride for the first time, to his brother’s “best man” speech, and then when his uncle read a letter from Ian’s grandmother, there wasn’t a dry eye in the place. It was a poignant reminder that when we have a loving family, we truly are blessed beyond measure with a joy that money can not buy. Our memories, both good and even the tough times, are priceless. And now this beautiful day is added to that memory box for Ian and Sara.
Sara and Ian, I had so many favorites from your wedding that I may have made this blog post a bit long. You are both such fun, and because you did the first look – we had soooo many beautiful shots. I totally admire how you pivoted your plans when you realized the time and daylight wasn’t going to fit your need – and did that first look. It ended up so sweet and beautiful. Your wedding was such an inspiration for me and truly a joy. I wish you years and years of happiness, and I pray that you always remember this day with a smile. Love and blessings, Pat
