To say I was thrilled to do this session for Macy and Lake would be an understatement.

Their laughter lifted my soul and stayed with me long after they were gone last Saturday.  When you find your forever, the laughter just seems a little sweeter, a little freer. (I think that’s a word.)   Lake knows exactly how to make Macy laugh, and she brings out the best smile on his face.  It’s truly one of my biggest joys to get to be around couples who are so full of life and happiness.  I’m blessed to be photographing a bunch of them this fall.

I’ve known Macy’s extended family for years, nearly since I came to Allen County over 30 years ago and started teaching.  When I was around her earlier this spring at her grandparents and at church, I was instantly drawn to her genuine spirit, and the kindness she spreads wherever she goes.  She’s beautiful inside and out.  I’ve always looked for the best in people for sure, but that intuition that we are all born with is usually spot on with a person’s true character if we listen to it.  And both Macy and Lake are full of the good vibes.

Lake and Macy, I can’t wait to photograph your wedding next summer, and I wish you lots of memorable moments between now and then.  This is such a special time in your lives.  Take time to soak it up and cherish every second of this season of being engaged.   Love and blessings,   Pat
