“I’m going to marry that girl one day,” Andrew told his twin brother one day late in their senior year of high school. Last Friday, he made good on those words.
That girl is Lilly, and she is the calm to Andrew’s fun antics, and the light of his life. If you know Andrew, he doesn’t have a serious bone in his body. What he doesn’t think of (and do) I’d wager to say – CAN’T be thought of and done. But he’s serious about one thing – how he feels about Lilly. Seeing them together makes that abundantly clear. Lilly’s smiles, how she looks at the love of her life, and how Andrew’s eyes change from dancing with mischief to complete peace and joy – all of these are such a delight to see.
If you know the Borth and Woods crew, you know there will be laughter and fun…. I knew that some trick would be pulled, lots and lots of hilarious offside remarks would be made, and then there would be serious moments of caring and appreciation. And that was the order of the night to a T. Andrew can’t help it. It spills out of his lips and there’s no end to what he says without a single moment of thought. If laughter adds to your life, everyone who knows him (or this whole family) will live longer simply by being around them. And that laughter didn’t end at the wedding ceremony. Of course you know, the correct brother didn’t have Lilly’s ring. It was passed from the front row where Bradley sat with his mom, down the line and each brother and groomsman affirmed that it was the correct ring before it was handed to Andrew to place on his bride’s hand. And in the midst of it all, beautiful, heartfelt prayers were prayed for the future of this lovely couple. Some tears were wiped, and promises made. It was perfect, and perfectly Andrew and Lilly.
Lilly and Andrew, your wedding was lovely, and you are an absolutely amazing couple. Your happiness is a blessing to witness, and I pray that your joy lasts years and years. We all know that life throws us all curveballs, but when you are both pulling on the same team, it makes them much easier to tackle. I can’t wait to see what your future holds. One thing is for certain, you have a host of family and friends who are cheering you on, and I am one of them. Love and blessings, Pat
And yes, Lilly approved of Andrew’s wedding attire…
Private, last moments before the vows…
Andrew’s dad walked Lilly down the aisle to her groom. It was such a sweet moment when he thanked her for allowing him that honor. And then he performed the marriage ceremony. Andrew’s uncles, Timmy and Eddie, both prayed heartfelt and beautiful prayers for them.
It wouldn’t be a Borth wedding without a couple of fun moments.. Where’s the ring?
After the fun, the ring ceremony is heartfelt and deep with the understanding of promises made.
Mr. and Mrs. Borth.
The reception was simply beautiful…
Andrew’s mom made the delicious cake.
Andrew and Lillian didn’t mind the glass taps one bit.
There was more laughter during the best man toast where Aaron spilled the beans on a few things….
And Lilly’s sister caught the bouquet.
Lillian and Andrew appreciate the hard work of those who made their wedding at Cave Mill Baptist just perfect.
