Engagement sessions always fire me up, even when the weather pulls out every trick in the book to stop our session.
The only thing left would have been a bit of snow. Otherwise, last Wednesday showed up with the whole bag of precipitation. And dumped it out all day long. But Leslie said the show had to go on because there were no other options for photos. And this crew isn’t alone by a long shot. Schedules are hectic, and working to blend two families and juggle all those obligations makes it even more difficult to reschedule when the weather isn’t nice to us.
And all that being said, I’m thrilled with how Leslie and Brian’s engagement and family session turned out. We found the best light, and the skies turned off the water for just long enough to do this session. And you all, the smiles and the sweet emotions in these photos spills over in every snap. The genuine love their children feel for each other was apparent to me the moment that Hudson ran up to Anna and Parker. And this family is about to begin a new chapter when their mom and dad tie the knot next spring.
Leslie and Brian, I can’t wait to photograph your wedding next year, and I’m honored that you asked me to capture such an important day in your lives. Watching you two together and with your children makes me smile. It speaks to second chances and finding happiness again. You are perfect together, and you are clearly enjoying this time in your lives. It’s such a wonderful thing to see, and I know you are both fully aware of what a blessing these moments are. I hope you love your photos, and before you know it, we do be snapping some wedding pictures. Love and blessings, Pat
