Leah got his attention when she came into the bookstore where he was working, and Max has never been quite the same.
It’s amazing how that sort of thing just happens. You are going about your life, and suddenly nothing is like it was. For these two, it’s easy to see that the moment they met has changed their lives in such a beautiful way. In addition, they’ve gone from being students to teachers with a home nearly finished. What an exciting and extremely busy year it’s been!
I’ve known Max since he was a little boy, and I’ve watched him grow into a fantastic person. He can always be counted on to do what’s needed and without a big fuss. It’s been the best blessing to see that he’s found a beautiful young lady who completes his heart. We had the best time doing these photos, even though it had been Max’s first day of the new school year. He had my complete sympathy, because I know from experience that there is no tired like the first day of school tired. I learned quickly to not schedule anything crazy after school the first week, because the zap to your brain is quite unexplainable. And yet, Max showed up with his girl on his arm. Leah is from my hometown and our conversations quickly went to the differences in how things are said even though our communities are only an hour apart.
Leah and Max, I can’t wait to capture your wedding next May! I knew from the moment I photographed your proposal that you two are the perfect couple. I admire how you respect each other and work together. One thing is for sure, I know your days are filled with the most precious gifts on earth, and your nights with thoughts about your students. It’s a most noble way to spend years of your life, and I hope you enjoy every minute of it. Before you know it, another year will have passed, and it will be time to promise forever. I hope you are able to pause and enjoy this precious time in your lives. Love and blessings, Pat
