Lauren + Anthony | A Fall Engagement Session in Southern Kentucky

Weddings Engagements

Last Saturday was the perfect fall day;  the air was a bit crisp, we had a quick passing shower (well really a downpour, but it was quick), and color shimmered everywhere in the trees.

It was the day I met my new friends, Anthony and Lauren.  And this is why I love what I do so much.  There are not enough words of gratitude to express how blessed I feel to meet new folks all the time through photography.  We are all here on earth, sharing the same water, light, and air.  Yet, we can live a lifetime without knowing folks who instantly feel like old friends. I find that when I meet new people, it gives me a renewed zeal for life.  It’s amazing how we are all the same inside, and connecting with people just makes me happy.

Anthony and Lauren live in Ohio, and came down to Anthony’s parents’ beautiful home in Allen County to do their engagement session.  I truly could not have asked for an easier session.  They were open to do whatever I suggested, and we all just took in the beauty of the land.   Of course, I was chasing the best light, depth in backgrounds and working to capture what these two are all about – which is their love for each other, the joy in life, and certainly their two beautiful babies!  Those babies gave me a couple of chuckles because just like human littles, sometimes expectations go right out the window when there’s company around.  And also just like human kiddos, they quickly settled down, and we got some great shots with them too.  This session wouldn’t have been complete without them and I smiled at them the whole time I edited their part of the session.  I bet you will too.

Thank you for trusting me to do this session for you, Lauren and Anthony.  I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I loved creating them for you.  I’m thankful our paths crossed!  Here’s wishing you lots of love and blessings every day,  Pat
