It was a whirlwind of laughter, sentimental moments, and tears.
Jenna and Stacy have found their soulmates in each other and their joy overflows at both expected and simple moments. It’s the kind that makes you remember that love is what makes this old world go around. When Jenna was dressed for the day, the room was full of family love, the love of best friends, mom and aunts. You know, the kind where your heart is about the break and burst at the same time because you know your life is changing, but you are so proud of this beautiful lady that you’ve watched grow from a little one to adulthood. And then there’s the moment when Trenton smoothed his dad’s shirt, and worked hard to get his tie under the collar, wanted to have his own first look with his new stepmom, the tears Stacy shed when he heard his grandpa’s voice, and the moment the Jenna’s dad read the words on the aisle runner. It’s no wonder we are all a wee bit undone at the end of a wedding. It’s the culmination moment of multiple families, hearts, and joys.
Weddings don’t magically happen. If you’ve been around many, you know this. There are hours of planning, endless shopping trips to find this or that, lots of reworking, and rethinking. Sometimes there are compromises, and reworking again. But in the end, it’s amazingly beautiful because it’s yours. The little (or big) things you worried might go sideways before the wedding fade into the background with the real story of that day. And that’s a story you relive over and over through the years of your time; not every day, but often. Memories flood back through photos, family gatherings, and videos. You’ll laugh at the little mishaps, and perhaps tear up a little at the sentimental sweet moments. And what you find is that every part of the day is special.
But Jenna and Stacy, what’s even more special is the marriage that you are creating. It’s the choices you make every single day to continue to love each other through the thick and thin, the laughter and also the bad days, the days where you aren’t sure who this person is that you married. Marriage is a miracle of God’s creation for our joy, for our blessing, for a helpmate in all times. None of us are perfect, and finding out that the one you love isn’t perfect, and choosing the continue loving them despite their imperfections is the definition of love. And a humbling thought is that they are learning our own quirks and imperfections in the same moments.
Hey you two love birds, I love your story, your sweet and soft-hearted personalities, and how you joke and laugh together. Your love for each other and your families is a grounding force that will carry you through years of both happiness and trials. I was blessed to be a part of your beautiful day, and I wish you mountains of joy. Love and blessings, Pat
First looks aren’t for everyone, but they are definitely a winner in my book! You actually get to be present at your reception, and it’s such a sweet and private moment.
Jenna, Stacy and their parents want to thank everyone who helped make their beautiful day possible.
They especially want to thank Mark Kendall of Kendall Farms for hosting their wedding, and Dustin and Kristi who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure dreams came true.
