It takes about 1.07 seconds to see the love this family shares.
Danny contacted me in December about photographing a winter session for his girlfriend and her family. First, I thought it was sweet that he wanted to do it for them, and second they are a fantastic family. I’ve known them all separately. However, I hadn’t been around them all together. Allison is a former student and I’ve done ball pictures for her at Fred Hale, and then I did a wedding for Liana’s brother-in-law. I always thought they were all super nice and absolutely fantastic folks, and when I realized they were all connected, I knew they were an awesome family. That was confirmed with this session. The laughter and love was a part of everything we did. And Jackson and Isaac were two of the sweetest boys ever. They laughed and had a great time, and especially loved the water, but came flying anytime I wanted them to do another picture. I love winter sessions, and this one was an absolute treasure for me.
You might have noticed the classy, but purposeful tshirts everyone wore. That is because the sweet and kind center of this family, the wife, mom, and grandmother – Christy has begun a journey to battle the enemy of us all. In fact she started chemo on Monday after we did these. The intense and visible love of her family came through in every photograph, and I know our community is sending her love as support as well. Christy, I wish you the strength of a lion even when you are weak from the battle, and I wish you peace and joy in the midst of the storm. I hope you feel strength from the prayers of your friends and family, and from everyone who knows what it means to fight this fight. We all love you and can’t wait to see you back in the middle of everything. Love and blessings, Pat
