OH MY!! This beautiful couple was SUCH fun to photograph last weekend!! It was not because it was warm or balmy. AND it was not because the wind cooperated either. It WAS because Hanna and Jordan were up for anything and because they love each other beyond words.
Can we get a high five for coincidences – or more accurately for how our lives make twists and turns that we never expect?? Jordan and Hanna have lived within five miles of each other their ENTIRE lives, and didn’t know each other until three years ago. Most of you know that I’m a retired school counselor, and I can’t count how many times I told distraught or heartbroken middle schoolers that they may not have even met the person they will fall into a lifelong love with. And this sweet, sweet love is the perfect example of that. They place great importance on their joy and simply having fun together. You can see how it shines through in every photograph.
It’s true – Hanna and Jordan are super comfortable and totally in love with each other, but of course, it didn’t start out that way. When Jordan asked Hanna out, she decided to put him through the paces first thing. He let her pick the date, and because she thought he really was just a player, she chose an EIGHT mile hike. She packed lunches and waters in her backpack, but they were both so nervous that neither of them wanted to eat a single bite. Fast forward three years, and I’m pretty sure that Jordan is still glad that he asked out that brunette beauty.
Hanna and Jordan, I can NOT wait to photograph your wedding. I knew that Hanna was special when I did her senior photos several years ago, and the two of you are a truly fantastic couple. I’m so honored to capture this important time in your life and you’ll always hold a sweet spot in my heart. Love and blessings, Pat
