Hailey and Seth’s wedding was absolutely beautiful. Their day was in March, before spring had decided for sure if she wanted to stay. So many parts of this sweet couple’s wedding were sentimental and sweet from the Hailey’s mother’s dress and picture down to the “Thank yous” scatterd around the reception. We planned wedding timeline around sunset so that we could take golden hour pictures after the wedding, and it was perfect.
As with many of my weddings, Hailey and Seth were fomer students who came through our middle school. Seth was my student, but I remember Hailey’s sweet face just as well. They were both awesome kids who were figuring out their way. Seth was the most kind and thoughtful student ever. His kindness came straight from his soul and I’ve watched him grow in to a wonderful young man. Hailey moved away after middle school, but little did they or I know that their paths would cross again after high school and life would never be the same for either of them. If my memory serves me right, it all started when Hailey was Seth’s waitress and he asked, “What are you doing Saturday night?”
Believe it or not, we did these engagement pictures in early, early spring right after a massive rain and thaw. It was really muddy, but neither they or I cared one bit. We did them in two locations on Seth’s family farms – which holds obvious sentimental value to them.
Seth and Hailey, I loved being a part of your sweet day. You are an awesome couple, and I can’t wait to see what joys the years bring to your life. For sure there will be trials; such is life here, but I know with the depth of your love, there will be boundless joys as well. I pray that you continue to love each other even more deeply than that beautiful day in March when you said, “I do.” Love and blessings, – Pat
