Brianna + Logan | A Golden Light Engagement Session in Southern Kentucky

Weddings Engagements

Brianna and Logan chose the perfect fall day to do their engagement session…..

Who knew back when Brianna was in sixth grade and Logan in 5th, that a chance meeting would change the whole direction of their futures?? It all began one day when both their dads were in the same location waiting to pick up a load of cattle that they were hauling.  The skies had opened up and poured buckets with no end in sight when Brianna’s dad told Logan to hop in the truck with her to get out of the rain.  That moment began a friendship that ended up with an engagement session last Friday afternoon.  I’m sure I’m skipping quite a few pivotal moments in between those two dates, but you get the idea.  Isn’t that the sweetest story?  And I love that it’s not fiction either.

So as you might guess, both Brianna and Logan have an agricultural background.  They speak the same language and both understand that getting the crops in comes first before a date night, or even engagement photos.  In fact, we moved this session from late September to mid October to make sure Logan would be finished with the harvest.  He literally finished last Thursday.  That’s farm life.  It’s a beautiful, salt-of-the-earth life, but harvest time rules.

I have to mention how amazing it is that Brianna and Logan will live in the home that her grandparents built on their farm in the edge of Metcalfe County when I was a little girl.  I remember my dad and several others helping build the new house and I thought it was the coolest thing ever to watch it take shape.  But even when a new house wasn’t being built, there was always something pretty interesting happening at Aunt Mavis and Uncle Bill’s, and I loved to go visit every chance I got.   ….But time did what it always does and life moves on.  Those childhood parts of our lives become a more and more distant memory. And then Logan’s family bought that land several years ago, and now it’s full circle that another Judd will make that house a home.

Brianna and Logan, thank you for asking me to be a part of this important time in your life.  You are the sweetest couple!!  I’m thrilled for you both, and wish you both amazing success and happiness.   Love and blessings,  Patricia
