I can not wait to photograph Allison and Trevor’s wedding this weekend at River Breeze Cabin in Monroe County!! Stay tuned for that blog next week. It felt like we were in the mountains when BJ and I went to preview this venue, but it also had that special mountain beauty that literally took my breath away. My “excited scale” is off the charts. But first – their gorgeous engagement session at WKU in late July….
I first met Allison’s family a few years ago when I did a wedding for a family member at Old Mulkey. They are all the absolute sweetest people, and Allison’s personality follows that trait to a T. She is beautiful inside and out, also easy going and kind. And Trevor is the perfect soulmate for her. We had the best time doing these photos. They were open to anything and anywhere I suggested at Western, and I was thrilled with the results. Actually, I vividly remember that we had to move their session 30 minutes earlier due to the storm forecast, and it’s a good thing we did. We barely made it back to our vehicles before it hit, and I drove 30 miles an hour all the way home in blinding rain, thunder, and lightening. What a difference 30 minutes can make.
Can’t you just see the love these two share?? They met several years ago when they both worked at Lost River Pizza, and life has not been the same for either of them since. It’s the way they look at each other, and how they smiled and helped each other tell their story. I am typically not at a loss for words – especially when I’m writing – but sometimes I have the hardest task with explaining what I what my heart sees with engaged couples. It’s such a special time in their life. I think it’s the sweet touch and the admiration, the complete joy that they have found their person, – that’s what makes me enjoy these sessions so much.
Allison and Trevor, I see you in a few short days. And have I mentioned that I can not wait??? Love and blessings, Pat
