They met at Campbellsville University in freshman theory class. And five years later, Hannah and Jordan couldn’t be happier about their future together.
One of my favorite conversations with each couple is finding out how they met, and who figured out something was special first. With Hannah and Jordan, the story is simply the sweetest. They were friends first. And for a couple of years, they learned that they really had a lot in common and found a deep and enduring respect for each other. Those of us who have been together for years know that when you like and respect the person who shares your life, your joy only grows as time goes by. And so, I couldn’t wait to ask, “Who figured out that “friends” wasn’t going to cut it?” Oh that was Hannah they both told me with a laugh. Over a really, really slow year and a half, Jordan came to the same conclusion, and their lives have found a deeper peace, and a promise that each will always have the other’s back. Hannah is quick to say that she was happy just being friends, but she is overjoyed at being a soulmate.
As you might have already guessed, music is important in their life. Both are incredibly talented, and find great fulfillment with staffs and notes. In fact, they are both working on their Master’s Degree and hope to stay in Campbellsville and pursue careers in music education. I’ve known Hannah literally since she was born, and I quickly determined that Jordan is as down-to-earth as they come. He loves this beautiful young lady that he’s about to marry, and it was so clear in how he was willing to go anywhere she wanted for pictures. Their relationship is relaxed, joyful, and they were just fun to be around. And I have to mention how his future mother-in-law told me about his amazing pianist talent, and how the children in the Vinson family adore him. So it seems that Hannah was right those years ago when she first felt that fast heartbeat that caught her off guard.
Hannah and Jordan, thank you for allowing me to be a part of such a blessed time in your lives. I know down to my soul that you truly are perfect for each other. Your happiness is what every parent prays for when their children grow up. I can’t wait to photograph your wedding in June and to watch how your married life unfolds. Love and blessings, Pat
