Until last week, I haven’t done photos in Glasgow for a while, and man have I been missing out!! When Jorja’s mom mentioned doing her pictures there, I was all in. On and around the square has always been beautiful, and I absolutely could have done her whole session in that area and I would have not run out of gorgeous lighting, perfect lines, and tons of items that created amazing depth of field, and the best foreground. The entire area looks like it stepped right out of a picture.
Can I just say that Jorja jumped right in too??!! Most clients eventually tell me that they were a bit shaky at the beginning, but if Jorja felt that way, she hid it extremely well. She fell right into every pose that I suggested, and I appreciate her willingness to trust my ideas. We ran out of daylight before we ran out of ideas, and I was sad that we didn’t get to make one more trek to another location for Jorja’s dress. August sunsets just seem to happen too quickly. It’s a sneak reminder that we are on the negative side of the summer solstice. I, for one, am not happy about that. If I had my way, the sun would set at 8:30 year round. We know that I obviously don’t get my way on sunset times, so I have to compromise and come up with alternate ways to continue sessions when the light runs out. Thankfully, we were in Horse Cave, which has an area of beautiful lights, so we grabbed some sweet shots there.
Jorja, you were AMAZING to photograph. I appreciate how you were so fun and open to my ideas. I hope that your senior year is as fabulous as you are. Enjoy every minute because before you know it, time will run right past and you will be graduated. My prayer is that you are always as sweet and kind as you were to me – and that all your dreams come true. Love and blessings, Pat
Jorja loves to draw. She typically creates images on her ipad. We found the perfect spot for her to pull her ipad out and show me some of her artwork.
