Alex and Macy are both beautiful young ladies in their own right, but together, they are stunning. It was my blessing to be able to photograph them to mark this important point in their lives. The senior year is full of so many tasks, lists, and deadlines that it’s so easy to concentrate on just marking this or that off the list and moving on. Senior photos can be one of those items. I’m so glad it wasn’t that way with these two. We had such fun on this session and made up our minds about what to do next minute by minute, and I’ll have to say this was an awesome session from start to finish. We decided on a spur of the moment to do some photos downtown, figured out the square was a beehive of activity due to the Summer Nights, and then did Icee shots at Tropical Treats. These are some of my favorite photos ever.
It seems that just last week, Alex and Macy were in the Primary Center and wagging backpacks through the halls at JEBMS when the late bus came to drop them off after school. I have so many bits and pieces of memories of them through the years as I edited these pictures. We teachers on Stars and Stripes team arguing with Christy that their bed time needed to be just a little later, listening to her tell about figuring out ways to let them sleep just a little later in the mornings. Stories of Grammie taking them school shopping. Macy and Jack fighting on the way to school and Alex rolling her eyes. I could go on and on with sweet memories that just seemed typical life at the time, but as time rolls on, they become so much more precious. Then when I see the beautiful ladies they have become, it pulls at my heart strings more than just a little.
Alex and Macy, your personalities are as different as day and night, but you are both so talented and smart. We always say your names as one, but you are two separate and beautiful ladies. I can’t wait to see the paths you choose and how you decide to follow your dreams. Cherish every moment of this senior year; it will pass faster than you can possibly imagine and when it’s gone, you can’t call it back. XOXO -Pat
