Ellie + Chaise | A Late Winter Engagement Session at Steenbergen Farms

Weddings Engagements

I’m so excited to share my favorites from Ellie and Chaise’s engagement photos at the beautiful greenhouse at Steenbergen Farms in Russellville, KY  last Saturday morning!!  You can’t go wrong with a greenhouse session, and this one proved it once again.

These two lovebirds were the sweetest to photograph.  Their happiness even warmed up the crazy cold that had us  shivering between smiles.  The forecast wasn’t promising, but we prayed that it at least wouldn’t rain.  I left home in a steady drizzle with fingers crossed.  The closer I got to Russellville though, the clearer the skies and then the road turned dry.  That happens more times than not.  It seems like there’s no way a session can possibly happen, but then things just work out.  We’ve had an early and warm spring, but last Saturday was a stubborn outlier.   It was definitely cold, but Ellie and Chaise walked, smiled, shared a couple of kisses, and told me all about themselves – which is always my favorite part.  I appreciated their fantastic attitudes and willingness to do anything I asked.

What I learned was that as with so many of my couples, the future Mr. and Mrs. Belcher met at work.  Specifically, they met while working at IGA. When I asked who was interested first, Ellie confessed quickly.  And that may have been the case, but Chaise is clearly equally interested these days.  It is always such a blessing for me to see couples at this point in their relationship.  And these two definitely are in love.

Ellie and Chaise, you literally did amazing during this session, and I can’t wait to photograph your wedding this July at The White Stone Barn.  Thank you for trusting me to capture such an important part of your relationship and life.  I hope that you enjoy every second of the events that happen between now and your ceremony.  Before you know it, you’ll be promising forever.  All my best,  Pat
