Thinking back on your wedding should make you “happy cry” as Caroline says it.
Anything that makes Caroline and Kyle tear up makes me happy. I’ve known them both for years, since they were in middle school. They both have the best personalities, and love each other fiercely. As one of Caroline’s friends said, “She will be friends with everyone.” She finds grace and reasons to love all those around her. And Kyle is still the steady, kind-hearted, and hard-working young man that I remember. He’s pursing his dreams and I predict that they will most certainly come to pass. What a perfect couple. Their joy becomes our joy. And there were plenty of happy tears that threatened makeup all day.
Caroline and Kyle are the sweetest couple, and their wedding at Cason’s Cove was simply perfect. And when I say perfect, I don’t mean that everything went according to their plans or even mine. I’ve photographed weddings since 1996, and not one single time has literally everything gone according to plan. A wedding is much like life, you think you know what you are going to do, and then something pops up that you haven’t thought of. That changes your plans. You adjust. And every single time I photograph a wedding I think about how I could have photographed this or that better -at a different angle, and every single time, I come up with something. Sometimes you deal with weather…. That was definitely not the case on Sunday. We dealt with beautiful, fall weather and golden light that wrapped around this equally beautiful couple. Their gorgeous wedding was full of fun, laughter, also deep appreciation for their family and friends, and it was perfect.
I have to give a huge shoutout to Caroline and Kyle’s wedding party. They were beyond amazing to work with, and were willing to go above and beyond not only for the photos, but to help out. Every moment of the day, someone was working through this or that, organizing a impromptu practice without the bride and groom because they didn’t have a rehearsal, helping serve the wedding cake, and running here and there to retrieve and deliver various items. Kudos to you all. You were a wonderful support all day long.
Caroline and Kyle, I adore you both, and I’m happy crying for you!! You deserve all the wonderful things that could ever come your way. I say this all the time, but I hope you NEVER forget how happy you were and how beautiful you felt on this day. And always, my prayer will be that you lean on each other, that you never give up in the hard times, and that many years from now you are still laughing and happy crying together. Love and blessings, Pat
