Emily and Scott are about to promise forever, and their excitement is contagious!
We had such a fantastic time doing this session right at golden hour at Dugas Park in Scottsville.
Listen, I’m a Chick-fil-A fan to the core, and apparently they serve up much more than just some amazing chicken. Emily met Scott there, and their futures will never be the same. He saw her first. It didn’t happen overnight, but over time, she saw him too. And now her eyes shine brighter and her beautiful smile is deeper than I’ve ever seen. I know that is a direct correlation to Scott, who I can tell is a really great guy. There’s a spark, and joy that is simply present when you’ve met your soul mate. It’s hard to describe, but it’s one of those human characteristics that we can all see. And I’m pretty excited that Chick-fil-A played a part in this sweet couple’s life in such a positive way. She’s still there, but he’s leaving for law enforcement training soon.
I’ve watched Emily grow up from a darling little dancer into such a beautiful lady. I’ve photographed so many of her dance costumes and she’s beyond photogenic. She bounced through middle school with a quiet energy that all dancers have. And suddenly she graduated high school. The older I get, the more and more I realize how quickly time flies. Watching all the kiddos I’ve known since they were toddlers grow up so fast makes me realize how fleeting the moments of life really are. And so I am always thrilled when I see couples who have found that joy and peace in each other.
Emily and Scott, I can’t wait to photograph your wedding in a couple of months. Seeing your happiness with each other and hearing the plans for your future make me smile. Enjoy every moment of this busy and exciting time. Love and blessings, Pat
