Katie and Clay. Have you every thought of the significance of the word “and?” It’s a small word, but life changing.
Katie is beautiful, vivacious, full of joy and laughter, has a head on her shoulders, works hard… I could go on and on….. Clay is steady, mature beyond his years, knows what he wants in life, strong in faith and spirit, I could go on and on again… Think about the power when you put “AND” between their names. Think of the possibilities when you combine the best of both their talents and personalities. What a powerful testament they are to what God can do, and how He has a perfect plan when we give Him the time and space.
Katie and Clay are both kind hearted and deep rooted in their faith, and they both come from a farming background. Those of us who grew up on a farm know that joy, the work, the stress, and even sorrow that sowing and reaping from the land can send our way…. but also the wonders of new life, of open space, and the amazing peace that acres of soil brings. Katie AND Clay have bought their own “piece of dirt,” and we are all cheering them on and wish them every success.
The Young-Jones wedding took place on Katie’s family farm. Honestly, what could be more appropriate?? They carefully chose the spot that would highlight the beautiful fall trees and it was all just perfect. Everything about November 6th tugged at heartstrings. The bond that both Katie and Clay have with their families, the sentimental touches everywhere (Check out the special tie Katie gave her dad.), and the army of friends and family who worked tirelessly to create the precious memories this day brought for Katie and Clay. I was amazed at the buzz of activity the whole day, and everything was stunning.
Mr. and Mrs. Jones, I was blessed to photograph your wedding. I appreciate how sweet you both were to me, and Clay you were the best sport, even when I dragged you into overgrown weeds to kiss your wife. I can’t wait to see what the two of you will do with that “and” between your names. Love and blessings, Pat
Aren’t the colors beautiful???
Katie’s mom and sister had her back (literally) the entire day. They were amazing.
This is the same mirror that the three Young ladies used for Sandy’s wedding. Katie wanted to incorporate it into hers as well.
And fall was on glorious display November 6th.
I don’t shoot in full sun very often. But it looked pretty cool for these.
Wedding time…..
The sun was bright, but this wedding party was not going to be out shown. They were amazing!!
Mr. and Mrs. Jones
I loved the sweet personal touches throughout the reception.
Ahhh – golden hour…. My favorite!
She’s a cute farm girl on any day, but she was a STUNNING bride.
